Main Answer
Psalm 73:26 means that physical and inner strength can fail while God remains the strength of the believer’s heart and lasting portion. The verse places human frailty beside enduring dependence on God.
The psalm begins with confusion about the apparent prosperity of the wicked. Its perspective changes in the presence of God, and the final verses describe nearness to God as the believer’s good.
The verse does not promise that bodily weakness will instantly be reversed. It gives the believer a deeper source of security when personal capacity is unreliable.
Use the verse to name both realities: what is failing and what remains. Honest weakness and confidence in God can be spoken in the same prayer.
