Main Answer
Working long hours is not automatically a sign of Christian faithfulness. Scripture values diligent work and also recognises rest, human limits and responsibilities beyond employment.
After a demanding period of ministry, Jesus tells the disciples to come apart and rest because they have been so busy that they have not even had time to eat. Their service is meaningful, yet exhaustion is not treated as a spiritual achievement. For Is Working Long Hours a Sign of Christian Faithfulness?, use this point only where it genuinely fits the passage and the responsibility being considered.
Work can become a form of overreach when availability has no boundary. A healthy finish protects attention, relationships and the quality of future work.
Some seasons genuinely require extra hours, and some people have limited choice because of financial pressure. The point is not to judge the worker but to reject the idea that endless availability proves greater devotion.
