Main Answer
Hebrews 12:1-2 teaches Christians to run their race with endurance while looking to Jesus. Perseverance is sustained by attention to the One who has already endured the cross and completed the work set before Him.
The passage also tells believers to lay aside both sin and unnecessary weight. Endurance therefore includes removal as well as effort. Some things make the race harder even when they are not the central calling.
Looking to Jesus is more than thinking positively about Him. It means letting His faithfulness, suffering and finished work shape the way present pressure is interpreted.
A Christian who feels tired can ask two practical questions: what is weighing me down, and where has my attention moved away from Christ toward fear, comparison or the demand for quick results?
